How we worked it out

CPF uses the 2026 rates for your age, on ordinary wages up to S$8,000 a month. The tax estimate treats you as a tax resident and uses income of S$143,000 a year (including bonus), minus Earned Income Relief (S$1,000) and your CPF (S$20,400). Other reliefs, like for a spouse, children or parents, would lower it.

An estimate for a full-time employee. First- and second-year PRs pay lower graduated CPF rates. Non-residents are taxed differently; use our income tax calculator. Not legal, tax or financial advice. ๐Ÿ”’ Everything stays on your device.

S$11,000 a month: take-home pay by age

On a gross salary of S$11,000 a month, a Singapore citizen or PR aged 55 or below takes home S$9,400 after S$1,600 of employee CPF (CPF stops at the S$8,000 Ordinary Wage ceiling, so you pay the maximum S$1,600). Your employer adds another S$1,360 to your CPF.

That is S$112,800 a year in your bank account, or S$132,000 if you are a foreigner on a work pass, because foreigners do not pay CPF.

Income tax is not taken from your pay. With a 1-month bonus, expect a yearly tax bill of about S$8,190, so set aside around S$683 a month.

Questions people ask

Is S$11,000 a good salary in Singapore?+

It depends on your job and household. The median gross monthly income of full-time employed residents was about S$5,000 in 2025, or S$5,775 including employer CPF (MOM, Labour Force in Singapore 2025). S$11,000 is above that median.

How much CPF is deducted from S$11,000?+

S$1,600 from your pay if you are 55 or below, and your employer adds S$1,360.

How much is my take-home pay in Singapore?+

For a citizen or PR aged 55 and below, take-home pay is your gross salary minus 20% employee CPF (on salary up to S$8,000). For example S$5,000 gross gives S$4,000 take-home.

Is income tax deducted from my salary in Singapore?+

No. Unlike most countries, employers do not withhold tax from resident employees' pay. IRAS sends a tax bill the following year, which you can pay in up to 12 monthly instalments by GIRO.

Do foreigners have CPF deducted?+

No. Foreigners on a work pass do not pay CPF, so their take-home pay is their gross salary (they still pay income tax).
